Update: After returning the first pair for poor quality control and hoping the second would be better, I'm also returning the second pair before even trying them on. See pics for frayed stitching, oddly (and permanently) dented leather, and scuff marks - I ran out of pictures I'm able to share or I could go on. It's unbelievable that someone looked at those and thought it was acceptable for AE's premium shoe line. Spend your money on something better. These are terrible quality and demonstrate horrible quality control. First, the toecap leather on one shoe has imperfections that are almost a tortoise shell and look rough, ragged, and low quality (see pic). Second, the coloring process missed areas in a way that naked light brown leather is peeking through (see pic). Finally, unless you're in direct bright light the 'chili' color is lost almost completely, leaving these looking like basic dark brown oxfords in typical room lighting (see pic). For AE's "highest quality shoe" supposedly made from "the very best materials" these are rubbish. AE, if you're going to charge Reserve prices you need to do better.

The shoe fits perfectly and looks great with a suit and tuxedo. The show was also very comfortable to wear all day at the office. The reserve line is a wonderful addition to Allen Edmonds.
