Meisterstück Platinum Coated LeGrand Rollerball Pen

I got this pen as a gift for my dad and, in the spirit of full disclosure, wanted it personalized so I bought it directly through Montblanc's website. But it IS this exact pen, the meisterstuck platinum coated legrand rollerball and I thought this would be useful information for others. Since Montblanc doesn't have the option to review, I came here. The pen is nice looking but to be perfectly honest, for a $630 (once you add tax) pen it's... a little disappointing. It's REALLY light. Like it feels like it's made entirely of plastic light. I realize that with the exception of the platinum coated bits (the silver embelishments) it's made of resin which is a lightweight material but I did expect it to feel at least a little nicer than the Pilot pens I got in a pack of 8 for $15 and I don't think that's an outrageous expectation to have of a company famous for high-end, luxury writing instruments. I can't comment on how it actually writes yet as it's a christmas present but just in terms of feel, I do find it lacking.
