MonoQuilt Jacket

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is not as light as my down backpacking jacket, and is not as small. But it is better - sightly bulkier but not as delicate and clearly more than rugged enough for evening chills on the trail, and I don’t worry about trail filth - this gets tossed in the wash. The peace of mind and sturdiness are totally worth it. This is pretty enough for the city, but warm and tough enough for the high Cascades. I love it!

Great product made from sustainable materials! Love REPREVE recycled polyester! Breathable, warm, and great for insulating performance on the go. Love wearing this as a daily piece, and also out hiking. I highly recommend!

I currently own 4 Marmot jackets/coats. I have to admit, this was my go-to most of the winter. It was the perfect amount of warmth needed, without being stuffy or hot. The perfect go between for mild days, not a light jacket, but not a heavy coat. Perfect for mild winter days, or chilly spring days. It is very comfortable, which is a plus.

Ordered the large in Pecan. I only tried on at home. I overall liked the jacket, it just wasn't as expected so I returned it. I'm just under 5'8" 155lbs, 37/30/41 measurements with a bit broader shoulders. I wanted it as a layering piece that would fit over a sweater and under a rain jacket and perform while still looking less gear-y. The color was more brown (similar to review photos) and less orange (like website photos). It was a nice color but ended up being about the same color as pants I wear regularly and I didn't want to have to deconflict wearing the pants or jacket. Based on other reviews of the jacket being more fitted than expected, I sized up. It was all around loose with a more oversized look, even with a mid weight sweater underneath ,and lost the sleeker look I liked in the photos. I haven't tried the medium but I think it would be a better fit for what I wanted. I did love the feel of the jacket. The lining/ shell were smooth and comfortable with a cozy feel. And I like that it has an inside breast pocket. The item was on sale and the return process was still really easy and straight forward so I wouldn't hesitate to order from Marmot's website again.
