I’d love to offer a little reassurance regarding the materials used. Our gold vermeil features a thick layer of 18k solid gold over a sterling silver base. Because of this silver core, the metal can occasionally react to natural factors like humidity, oxygen, perfumes, or skin pH levels, leading to temporary surface oxidation or darkening. This natural chemical reaction affects all genuine sterling silver, vermeil, and gold-plated jewelry across the industry, it isn't a defect or something unique to Monica Vinader pieces. The good news is that this is usually easy to restore! A quick buff with a polishing cloth often lifts these spots right off.
