What it is: A nine-pan eyeshadow palette inspired by the resins and paints of Renaissance art, with full-pigment shades in matte and metallic finishes.

What it does: This essential mini eyeshadow collection features Anastasia Beverly Hills's highly pigmented, easy-to-blend formula and offers a versatile color range for creating everything from subtle to dramatic eye looks. It contains nine eyeshadow shades from soft neutrals to bright, sparkly tones with eight matte and one metallic finish. The full-pigment formula delivers high color payoff and buildable intensity.

How to use: Use a light hand when picking up product because the formula is full pigment; a little bit goes a long way. To apply eyeshadow, use a flat brush to deposit color or highlight, or pack eyeshadow onto the lid. Use a fluffy ended brush to diffuse and blend out shadow. For a more intense color payoff, pair metallic shades with a setting spray. Use the matte and metallic eyeshadows as highlight shades. Use the warm matte neutral eyeshadows for contouring and defining and the warm and cool metallic eyeshadows as accent shades.

Pro Tips: For a more intense color payoff, pair the metallic shades with a setting spray. Create a gradient smoky eye look using a cool-tone shade for contouring and a warm-tone shade for blending out. The contrast between the warm and cool tones come together to create a high-impact eye look. Use any of the bright shades as a cheek color. Use the deeper matte shades to define the lash line. The highlight shades can be used on the face.

Cute travel size palette

Packaging does not hold up!

I ordered this same pallet Twice! I thought maybe the shipping and handling went wrong the first time but no! I used this maybe 3 or 4 times and the dark brown color completely broke and made a mess everywhere. It was the same color that had broken and made a mess in the first one I ordered. I love this brand so Im super disappointed.

Hope to see some new palettes

I used to get so excited when ABH would release eyeshadow palettes. This is the mini Modern Renaissance palette and it has 9 eyeshadows. Mostly warm neutrals with pops of pink/red shades. Adheres to the skin well, even without a primer. I didn’t have any issues with blending. This is an older style formula where the shadow can be a bit powdery. Just need to tap off before applying to the lid. I easily get 8-9 hours of wear without a primer, longe with. I do not have oily eyelids though (just for reference).

Amazing shades

I recently purchased The Anastasia Beverly Hills Mini Modern Renaissance Eyeshadow Palette and so far I find it looks so pretty on my light/fair skin and brown eyes! The shades look amazing together - adding a lovely amount of shimmer and autumnal depth. The formula feels nice and smooth and looks polished. Love it, great value with lots of different shades in a compact case.

Cute palette

I wanted a travel size version of one of my all time favourite palettes from a few years ago. It’s small and compact and travel friendly. You get more for your money if you go with the bigger palette but it just depends on if you like this sort of colour scheme.

Palette Perfection

This is a palette I will reach for again and again, so much so that I bought a second one just in case Anastasia stops making it. The shadows have impressive longevity on primed eyelids; for additional staying power, I mist just a smidgen of setting spray on the brush before application. The color payoff is about average but layering really amplifies the richness of the shades. And the colors themselves? It’s hard not to love them. You will always have a use for at least one of the shadows on this palette. I appreciate that it’s mattes with only one shimmery highlight shade — a versatile golden ivory. So many eyeshadow palettes have actual glitter in them. This one doesn’t and it’s one of its many strengths. You don’t have to worry about glitter fallout and its attendant annoying mess. I recently bought Laura Mercier’s limited edition palette Japan in Bloom which has a similar pink-heavy color story and several audaciously shiny shades that disintegrate into glitter the moment they touch your lid. Suffice it to say Anastasia’s product is superior in almost every way.
