KBG Coffee Brewer

I’ll start by saying my husband and I are “coffee snobs.” We typically prefer pour-over and only use fresh roasted beans from our local coffee roaster. We were looking for a machine to make larger batches quickly without sacrificing taste. This machine nails it! The coffee is super clean and the temperature is perfect. The brew using this machine really tastes comparable to using our Chemex, which is amazing! I like how minimalist it is and it looks pretty too. But, the reason I deduct one star is because for the price you pay for this machine it feels both a bit clunky and flimsy all at the same time. The clunky: The power cord is enormous! It seriously reminds me of a major appliance cord—Not super attractive on the counter and hard to hide. The flimsy: the plastic components all seem to come together and apart just fine but there’s something about these components that feels cheap. Like they do not connect seamlessly. It’s hard to describe, but I’ll just say it doesn’t feel “sexy.” There is no satisfying snap putting it together, they all just gently kind of rest in place. Overall, great machine, though!

I am a coffee snob and buy the freshest beans I can find and grind them myself each morning. It is simple to use and intuitive. The parts in black are made of plastic but the actual machine itself has high quality components. It is quick and quiet. I tried several other coffeemakers before this one and the Moccamaster wins hands down! This is the best coffee that I have ever made and as you can tell, I'm very picky about my coffee. It was the most expensive one that I tried but it is worth it. Nordstrom had the best deal at the time on the Moccamaster. I ordered online and picked it up curbside. What a wonderful service!

We had our Cusinart coffee maker for 15 years. It served us very well. Didn’t break, just wanted an upgrade. Moccamaster was recommended by my friend who had hers for little over an year. I also did my own research. In the end my family and I decided on this coffermaket from the Netherlands. We love our new coffee maker - makes very hot, full flavor coffee super fast. Easy to use and looks great too!

I purchased this coffee pot in April of 2020. I was so excited to finally get the pot everyone was raving about. I started having issues from the beginning with the carafe. When the carafe is full coffee will pour all over the counter. I felt like it wasn’t a deal breaker since I would be extra careful when pouring my coffee. Secondly sometimes the coffee would not heat the water enough to get a nice tasting coffee. It would taste like sludge from the first cup poured immediately after brewing. Not a deal breaker since it only happened a few times. However, the coffee maker now stops up inside the filter and when it finally decides to brew thru it makes a huge mess with coffee and grounds everywhere. This is not ok so I emailed the company. I received an email from them blaming it on the hot plate, the type of filter and the size of the coffee grounds. All of which is not the problem. The machine is not getting the water hot enough to properly brew the coffee. I am very unhappy with my purchase and customer support.

If you love coffee but want the best coffee experience in the comfort of your own home - ditch the Keurig and get this! Slow drip coffee, great temperature control, and makes any coffee taste amazing! Also, it just looks amazing on the coffee bar! There are a few pieces that you need to clean after each use, but that’s not a big deal. The whole thing does feel a bit fragile at first, but you get used to it. I think it’s definitely worth it!
