Details & care

It’s the little things that matter most. The Mini Oval Locket Necklace is a pretty and petite keepsake that holds the biggest pieces of your heart. Carry your favorite people, places, or little momentos close and leave your hands and heart open for the memories yet to be made. From the grandest gestures to the tiniest treasures, keep your most magical memories on lock. \nDelivered from the Made by Mary studio in a giftable book-style box, each piece is carefully crafted with your story in mind. \nHow to Add Photos to Your Locket: \n1. After opening the locket, use a pair of tweezers or a small pin to remove the clear plastic insert from one side of the locket. (The plastic is firm, so it should pop out easily.) \n2. Select your photo. If needed, you can utilize a digital photo program like iphoto or photoshop (even Microsoft Word works well) to resize a photo to fit into the locket. Please note, the size of the photo will be approximately 8 mm wide and 11 mm tall once it is trimmed, so the photo you select needs to be sized accordingly! \n3. Use photo paper, not regular copy paper, to print your selected picture. \n4. Place the insert over the photograph of your choice to trace an outline. \n5. Carefully cut out the photo and place it inside the locket, then replace the plastic insert on top of the photo. \n6. Use the tweezers or pin to make sure the 4 small tabs on the plastic insert are securely inside the locket. This is an important step to ensure your photo stays in place! \n7. Repeat these steps to add a photo to the other side of your locket.

Cheap chain.

The locket is pretty and looks expensive. The chain was an entirely different color of gold. Looked super cheap, very yellow. I used to love MBM. But I returned my whole order. It all was super cheap/yellow. And I have some necklaces from a few years ago from them and they still look amazing. Their quality has gone down.

Pictures fall out

My wife loved the look of the locket, it is great but functionally the pictures keep falling out after only wearing it for a few days and can’t get them to stay in the locket.

Wouldn’t buy again

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The locket is very dainty and cute. Since it’s so small getting the pictures in is very difficult. For the price of this necklace, the necklace should be able to be customized and have the pictures already come in it. To get the pictures to be sized correctly and then put in have been a lot of work. One of the clear pieces to go over my picture got scratched and then I lost it as I was trying to put it in and they said to replace it I’d need to buy a replacement for a very small piece. Overall, I’m disappointed and wouldn’t recommend this exact necklace to someone.

Mini locket review

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I absolutely love my mini locket. It has a beautiful gold finish, and how is my most precious pictures of my fiance and I. I love being able to pop it open and just get a little glimpse of the time those pictures were taken. The item is such good quality, really everything i've bought here has been really good quality and also so fashionable and cute. I'll never stop buying here!
