Mid Star Sneaker (Women)

Wow! I have tried several pair of superstars in different sizes and none fit me well. I finally decided to give it one last shot, and get these midstars instead. I’m so glad I did, I have wide feet and am between 10-11. I went with an 11 and these are so comfortable with no show socks. I like how they come up higher. I am so so happy that I went with these!

As with a previous review, I am between a 10-11 in American sizing. My foot is wide. I went with the EU41 to make sure I had enough room, and glad I did! The review I saw before I purchased them really helped me to know what size to buy. I was hesitant with the way I was seeing others tie the laces -or rather not actually tying them-by putting little knots in the laces and leaving them untied. Nevertheless, I did what Pinterest and YouTube showed me anyway and can honestly say it’s been fine. There’s a little extra padding right above the ankle that keeps it from sliding up and down. I wanted these for the quality and a touch of luxury. I’m not a big “purse person”, or Stanley cup owner, but I love sneakers… Especially mid tops and high tops. I’ve loved wearing these. I have an edgy style, with tattoo sleeves, and they go well with my baggy joggers and power rangers tee, but also with my jeans and Mockneck sweater. They’ll match anything you want them to. There is a bit of a break-in because it’s leather. So expect some of that… but otherwise pleased with my purchase! Hope this helps!

The shoes arrived in a plain white box, not the Golden Goose box and none of the wrapping. The shoes had pen written all over them as well. Not sure how this passed any inspection with Nordstrom. Returned immediately. Sad to find there is no longer any quality control with this company.

I vowed I’d never spend this kind of $ on sneakers, but after trying on a pair of Ball Stars a few weeks ago I was hooked. I bought them and wore them almost daily, and wanted another pair to mix things up. I couldn’t stop thinking about the Mid Stars. I have thin ankles and wear a size 8 (sometimes 7.5, never 8.5), and high tops often look too chunky on me. I love how the mid stars have a low profile and can look small and cute in joggers, jeans, shorts, whatever. I got this pair because it was very neutral and would really go with anything, plus it has that classic Converse type casual look. I got these in the same size as my Ball Stars – 38. The inside top is quite stiff and presses on my inner ankle bone, so I cut some heel pads into small chunks and stuck them to that part while I break them in. Otherwise they are incredibly comfortable, and I love the slip on and off unlaced styling of these shoes. They truly go with anything and add an instant cool factor to any outfit.

I had high expectations as my Golden Goose Super-Stars are the most comfortable sneakers I've ever owned. I never want to take them off. The inside leather is smooth and I could walk in them for days. These Mid Stars aren't remotely as comfortable, even after breaking them in. For some reason, the leather inside is not as comfortable and they feel more rigide than the lower rise Super Stars.
