Metallic Floral Jacquard Cocktail Minidress

Bought this for a cocktail attire wedding and am very happy with it. It runs slightly small and doesn’t have much stretch if any. I’m typically a size 0-2 and I’m sure if I really wanted to fit into the 2, I could; however, I’d run the risk of feeling restricted in the waist area right under my rib cage as well as back & armpit fat being accentuated (those are the 2 tight areas on the dress). Everywhere else on the dress is a very loose, comfortable fit. I’d guess I have an inch of room between my waist and the dress with the 4. If I pull my boobs up and out of the dress, I can make them look bigger for a short period with the size 4. Although I predict that the size 2 would pull them up even more and keep them there for much longer. All in all, I’ve decided to stick to comfort over sexy on this one and can just pull my boobs up for photos (note that I did not take this measure in the photo I attached to this review). Also note I’m a 34B. I loved the length. I’m only 5’3 and the dress was still at least 6 inches above my knee. I also loved that the straps have a rubber strip on them to prevent slipping. Next, the versatility of this dress pleasantly surprised me. While I was trying on different shoes to match the dress, I realized that a different shoe can make it a much more casual look so I’m eager to see what other events I can rock this dress at. Perhaps a dinner. Last but not least, who doesn’t love pockets. But THESE pockets are my favorite kind of pockets because they’re essentially invisible on the outside (it just looks like part of the dress seem), they’re durable, spacious, and somehow not poofy at all.
