I rate it -1, if that would be possible. Not sure what had happened with the quality control.
But these boots are NOT WATERPROOF at all.

Kids haven’t complained
Both of my children (3&5) own these boots and we are thoroughly impressed. The girls don’t hesitate to wear them! Haven’t tested in serious winter yet. Just loads of cold rain and light snow (-10days). My only thing would be that they are tight at the top so luckily my girls wear nothing but leggings all the time or else they’d be complaining about their pants not fitting into them.
Great colours, good quality, sizing fits well. We’ve always loved our Merrells!!

Wonderful boot dor older kids!
These boots are super warm, very well built and stylish!. The one issue i have is that they are very difficult to put on and take off. Definitely re-think then for younger children trying to be independent for recesses and such at school.
