Great shoe, not too late to learn to tie laces

I was hesitant to purchase these based on previous reviews but went for it anyway. Some stated the size was not consistent with other Merrell products. I wear an 11.5, rotate through 4 other Merrell products and found the sizing to be inline with the others. Previous reviews also sited concerns with the laces. Though I have been wearing and tying my shoes for most of my life, I have only be using the "Ian's Secure Shoelace" method for about 10 years. This method has proven to be fool proof on the included laces of these Silvo's with not a single unexpected "de-lace" within a month of use. I find the soles to be very comfortable offering lots of cushion from inconsistent ground obstructions. If I had any critique I would prefer the sole color to be a bit darker in color as an option.

Weird fit

I have previously purchased 3 or 4 pairs of Merrell, which have been great, but these just fit so weird and I felt like I was wearing a cheap shoe from a completely different brand. I liked the look and the idea of them, but execution was just not good. I ended up never wearing them and am past the return date, so they are just collecting dust.

Comfortable , but I haven't worn them long

I am pleased with the fit and look of these shoes. I haven't had them long, so can't say how well they feel bc I haven't walked any distance in them. Merrell makes quality products.

leather laces should be illegal

Leather shoes laces should be illegal. They color is very old and ugly. Not a modern looking shoe but is comfortable if the shoes were to stay tied.
