Silvo Lace-Up Shoe (Men)

Almost never have any sizing issues (10 M), these were 1/2 size too big. Merrell has free exchanges, thank you. After reading about issues with the laces, I went ahead and bought some 36” round boot laces in advance. I’m happy with the look, and they stay tied. Otherwise, same familiar Merrell quality and comfort.

I didn't realize that this is a wide shoe but the main problem for me is the rigged leather cuts into my ankle and had me bleeding after my first 3 mile walk. My foot was a little sloppy in the shoe as well. I put an arch support insert which helped a lot but wonder how to soften the side leather. The insert raised my foot enough to ease the cutting into my ankle. Otherwise I like the quality and look of the shoe.

I own Cole Haans. That is it. I wear them to work - multiple pairs multiple styles. Wanted to try something different since and since I had Merrell's boot I use for pheasant hunting for comfort and walking several miles during a hunt. Well, I might have to seek out more as I have to replace Cole Haan pairs. Merrell will get the 1st look from now on.
