Great boots for people who walk alot
I bought my first pair of merrell moabs about 6 months ago and they do about 4-5 miles a day in every varying condition imaginable. At this point they're up to about 400 miles and the tread has finally wore out. No real issues quite comfy and breathable especially for how well they keep out water. Definitely going to buy another pair to replace these.

Not Waterproof
I'm so disappointed with the Moab 3 boots. I've only had them for 6 months and they are no longer waterproof. I have only lightly used them over the winter months so it was a very unpleasant surprise when I went on a slightly rainy spring, 2 mile, hike and my feet were soaked. There was so much water in the boots that I had to pour it out. I had a pair of Moab 3 boots 4 years ago and they stayed mostly waterproof until they were just too worn out to continue wearing.

Great supportive shoes for a severe overpronater
I have reoccurring planar fascia. I ordered the Merrills and hoped for the best on a 5 week trip to SE Asia and China. While I was away I had no trouble or pain and would walk 5 to 6 miles a day and a few 7s with no foot pain. I also got a cortisone injection in the Planar Fascia but the previous time I had a similar vacation the injection worked only for a few days.
The Merrills offered me excellent support, looked nice, wore well and the only dissatisfaction I experienced was the round laces would not stayed tied unless I double knotted them, but that is my typical problem with round laces. My orthotics fit in comfortably as I’m a severe over pronation from a family of Podiatrists….go figure….

Love um
Once you figure out the fit their perfect. I alternate between these and a brown pair that I’ve had for a few years. My brown pair has hiked through Germany and are still holding up great. Love these shoes. Also looks good with my black pants and shorts.
