Been wearing Merrell upon a friend’s recommendation Going on over ten years now and still love Merrell shoes great fit and weather proof too I usually add an extra layer of foot o pool add for additional comfort I would suggest changing the tiny black weather proof tag from black to silver it makes the shoe look more fancy and then you could read what the black tag says Great products snd last for ever Thank you

I bought a pair of 14 wide in 2024/2025 in this shoe and it fit perfectly. I’ve since ordered six more pairs within the last month and each pair measures 5 mm narrower than the shoe that fit perfectly. Needless to say, the tight fit is not acceptable, and all shoes have been returned. I am informed that Merrell changed their manufacturer and that the new manufacturer is making narrower shoes than the old manufacturer. That’s too bad. Before for-warned!

A bit slippery

They work well for protecting my feet from rain and puddles, and they look terrific, though the traction on the bottom is not the best. I found myself slipping around on wet leaves and metal manholes, so it's necessary to walk carefully in them. That said, they go well from informal to more dressy occasions. I've noticed over the last few years Merrells have become tighter. I think that's the shoes and a shift toward cheaper manufacturing and not my feet, so I've sized up and moved to wide after wearing regulars for years. The larger size and wide width work perfectly.

My new favorite shoes

My new favorite shoes, taking the top spot from another pair of Merrells. Haven’t worn them all day yet, but several half day wears and I didn’t want to take them off. On top of the comfort is the outstanding style, plus they go with 3/4 of my wardrobe. I haven’t exposed them to water yet so I can’t attest to their waterproofness. One thing that isn’t a negative but is mentionable is they run just a wee bit small compared to other Merrells I own. I’ve addressed this by wearing thinner socks, but even with my regular socks they’re okay - just snugger than my other shoes. Something to consider though if this isn’t a one off thing and you plan on wearing them with thick socks.

I’ve found the perfect shoe!

As a senior, it’s difficult to find everyday shoes that are comfortable and great looking. My Jungle Moc Nubuck Waterproof slip ons meet all my requirements. Plus, they’re waterproof so I don’t have to worry about them being ruined by rain or snow. The color is beautiful and versatile. I also bought a pair of Jungle Mocs in leather as well. Just as awesome.
