Meret Platform Sandal

I purchased this shoe after watching it for a couple of months. A little bad news and I found the motivation to treat myself to this beautiful shoe. I got it and LOVED it. I got so many compliments in it with in minutes of wearing them outside. As a person who loves heels, the 70's era, platforms and studs, I was in heaven. This shoe met every criteria. The price is steep and I am normally a size 9 but I went up to a 10 because they don't have half sizes. IT FIT PERFECT! BUT.... I wasn't in this shoe an hour when it came apart, the foot sole from the heel and I WENT DOWN LIKE A TON OF BRICKS DROPPED FROM THE 3RD FLOOR OF A BUILDING. Fortunately, I did NOT suffer more than a scrapped knee and a little tingle in my palm that went away rather quickly after a couple of hours. I sent the shoe back, had to walk barefoot to the FED EX (fortuantely just across the street a bit) and then walk barefoot back to my car (a block away). HOWEVER... I loved this shoe so much, i reordered it. I HOPE that it was a bad shoe and that the new one will be of better quality. I haven't worn it yet. Buyer beware and careful! and let me say... I WEAR HEELS EVERYDAY so this is not a new experience for me. Fortunately Nordstrom sent me a new pair right away and I hope it was just a one off and not a overpriced poorly made shoe that could be very dangerous at this height. hope this helps. Oh... the leather is soft, the shoe is as beautiful in person as it is in the picture. It is a lightweight shoe and fits great. I would size up.
