'Yael' Soft-Air Sneaker (Women)

Hmmmm. I agree with some reviewers who have found the quality of the Yael to be less than expected for a Mephisto. These look great; however the fit is somewhat odd - long and narrow. The heel seems low also and slips no matter what socks I wear. I have literally worn these shoes 4 times and the shoelaces broke and a seam is loose. Really?

I tried the dark grey/tank/black and they did not fit. I tried the same size in soft black leather which is the black with the snake print and the dye stained my socks and my feet. That should not happen and much less at this price point. I tried another pair in the snake print but they also stained my socks and feet. These shoes are no longer made in France. They are cutting corners but they still want to keep the price point high. They are going back.

I bought these in the silver metallic color and needed to go up a half size. I normally take a 37 in AGL flats and am typically a size 7 in most shoes. I ended up with the 37.5 in these. I wore them through the airport and couldn't believe how comfortable they were. They are much more attractive in person than on the website.

The Yael has delighted my foot experience in every way. This is the best fitting, most supportive and comfortable shoe of any of the outdoor shoes I have ever bought. It is true to size, not stretching out of shape, was comfortable from day 1 and fits into my needs. I love to talk walks a couple times a week and go at least 2 miles at a shot, and my feet are not aching from the walk. At first I thought this great fit was not but going to last, but it certainly has. Although my foot is narrow and short, it conforms perfectly to my foot's petite needs. I am wearing a 5 and 1/2 medium and loving it. I've been wearing the shoe for about 9 months, and ready to buy another. I have not regretted this purchase and can only praise Mephisto for creating a beauty.

Love these shoes. Stylish and comfy from the first moment I put them on. This is my first pair of Mephisto shoes. I will definitely look for others. I have a somewhat narrow foot and these shoes fit well. Love the color. One somewhat negative is the regular Balega sock I wear shows over the edge of the shoe.

I chose this shoe first because I like the fit, quality, and style of the Mephisto products I own. The length and width are very good for my foot. They felt perfect on the first wearing for a six-mile walk. I sprayed the nubuck with a stain and water repellent before I wore them in rainy Portland, Oregon If these are as resilient as my previous Mephisto walking shoes (replaced only because my foot size changed) I will enjoy these for years to come.
