Great for any age

I am in my late 60s. I had seen these shoes before and considered them shoes for "old ladies." I decided to buy these for a recent trip to South America. I knew comfortable shoes would be important so I decided to buy despite my feelings about the shoe. I have to say I was really impressed. They were comfortable and I could wear them all day. In addition, after wearing them, I decided that they really didn't have the "old lady" look that I thought they had. That said, my change of heart could have been that I still don't want to be considered an "old lady."

Disappointing

I purchased the Mephisto Pattie sandal before and it was the most comfortable sandal I've ever worn. I decided to order several more pairs to wear through the upcoming summer. I don't know what happened but they've changed this shoe. The leather is not comfortable as it was before. It is stiff and you can feel the stitching. Furthermore, when you walk on certain surfaces, the shoes squeak loudly. I'm so disappointed and will have to return them. Given the price, you would expect more.

Comfy Walkers

Expensive, but I find this sole very comfortable. For a very practical walking shoe, they don't look as "clunky" as some. I wear a 6 1/2 or 7B, and ordered my regular size. My toes come right to the end, but I think the next size up would have been too big. Color? I would call it "griege". I see a definite taupe tint. This is not a charcoal grey.

Website says runs small-order a size up. This is not accurate-they run true to size.The shoe is very comfortable.

Light gray Mephisto Sandal

Last summer I purchased this sandal in black. I was happy to see it in a light gray (taupe) color with a bit of sparkle. Velcro straps allow you to adjust the toe area, and around the ankle. The sandal can be worn with dresses/pants in the day or evening. Your feet will feel great in this sandal!

Leather too hard

Memphisto needs to either soften their leather or reposition the front part of the shoe so they don't dig in to the top of your toes. Returned them!
