'Luce' Sneaker (Women)

Wore these shoes all day today and was so happy to have them on. They are like walking on air....I have to go to Asia on Wednesday and was dreading the thought of wearing Nikes with my suits for a week or so. (albeit lime green would be a real statement). These came just in time and will keep my sprained ankle and arthritic feet happy! I had always heard that Mephisto shoes were very comfortable and now i see why. And they don't look like sneakers or Merrells -- black suede is refined -- looks like a dress shoe and there is a slight lift which feels better than flats -- perfect for work. Good support. I probably could have taken a 10 - i ordered the 10 1/2 but it works well.

I'm a big fan of Mephisto shoes and really happy re. this latest purchase. It is strictly a casual/walking shoe that works with jeans or casual pants, but really nice nonetheless. As far as flat, comfort shoes go, this is quite classic/stylish. The swede and unique material (and of course the craftsmanship/arch support) is what you pay for with Mephistos and on this count, they deliver big time. The only drawback to this shoe is that the nubuck finish is more delicate than would be leather - a bit of a concern in the messy winter weather. So, this is more of a dry weather/indoor shoe in some respects. But, come February, when I will tire of my heavy boots, these shoes will likely be welcome - again, slightly limited in their casual style/wearability, but still a nice shoe I couldn't bring myself to return.
