Lissandra Platform Wedge Sandal (Women)

The Mephisto Lissandra sandals are beautiful and very comfortable. The velcro straps allow for a perfect fit across my foot. The quality and design of these sandals is wonderful. My complaint, and the reason for four stars instead of five, is the sizing. I ordered these sandals online and had to return them twice before I got the correct size. I normally wear a US woman's size 9 (EURO size 40) but after reading all of the reviews about how these run small and that I should order a full size up, I ordered a 10. IN the end, I ended up ordering a US size 11 ! The Mephisto size chart on the bottom of their box show that a US size 10 is equivalent to Euro 43-44. TWICE I ordered a US size ten and received a EURO 40. 40 is what I normally wear but when I compared them to my other 40s (Ecco, Joseph Seibel, Birkenstock and Paul Green (US 9), they were a full 3/4" shorter. I talked to customer service because I thought that perhaps the wrong size was placed in the US size 10 box and the rep even added a note to make sure that the second order contained a EURO 41-42, whatever the next size up from a 40 would be for Mephisto. My second US size 10 order contained a Mephisto EURO size 40. I returned that and ordered a US size 11, which shows as EURO size 41 (contrary to their own chart) and it fits. Mephisto needs to review and correct their sizing chart and labeling.

These r lightweight, comfortable, cute adjustable wedge sandals. There r two adjustable buckles with velcro closures- which r awesome for easy in and out. Re sizing u likely need to order 1/2 - 1 1/2 sizes larger. I wear a size 7 to 7 1/2 and ordered a size 8, which fit perfect. I have a medium width foot on the “shorter” side of my size and usually wear a European size 38, also 38 in AGL and ugg. These r typical for mephisto “fit like a glove” sizing. Love these so much I have purchased another color.

OBSESSED with this sandal! It's extremely comfortable, with enough height to be fashionable and not look like a true 'comfort' sandal...although it feels like one! The platinum color is great and adds a pop of metallic that would compliment any outfit from jeans to dresses. The velcro straps are great also...they allow you to adjust the fit and are not noticeable or 'cheap' looking at all. Love this sandal so much I've purchased in 3 colors - platinum, black patent and white patent! (The patent straps are very comfortable, btw!!!). I usually am a true size 10 and took a 41 (equivalent of an 11m) that fits like a 10 for this sandal...definitely size up 1 size.

I'm almost 60 so I want comfortable shoes but I'm not ready to throw in the towel and get velcro gym shoes. You know the ones I mean! These do have velcro straps but they're well hidden and the sandal looks good on the foot. Even my 20-something daughters complimented me and I've asked them to be honest so I don't go too orthopedic with my footwear. These sandals are winners... although some of the color combinations are a bit odd.

I ordered these after reading reviews that someone had worn these shoes all over Europe for a summer and her feet never hurt. What a dream that sounded like. When they arrived and I put them on, I knew I'd never want to take them off. These shoes are so comfortable right out of the box. I have narrow feet but with both of these straps having strong Velcro, they are fully adjustable. The foot bed just conformed right to my feet. They are lightweight and I love the wedge heel because I find that offers good support throughout the day and my legs and feet are not as tired as when I wear flats the whole day. This is my first pair of Mephistos but will not be my last!
