So much more comfortable for me than birks… can wear all day and my feet don’t kill me. I have multiple styles & all are great

Uncomfortable
My favorite shoes ever were a pair of Mephisto mule sandals. They were supremely comfortable--soft leather, support so good you could run in them, and an ergonomic fit that made walking for miles a pleasure. Not so with these. If you're expecting the Mephistos you used to know and love, you'll be sorely disappointed. You can take "sorely" literally. These are uncomfortable, with hard leather that bites into your skin and a shape that shoves your feet into unnatural contortions. Such a shame for what used to be an exceptional product!

You Can't Go Wrong With Mephisto
Mephistos are a great solution for those of us looking for a well made sandal. Had these been available in the black patent shown, I would have kept them, but the bright gold I received which is described as Light Sand are a bit too flashy for my taste. Nordstrom buyers, please feel free to restock these in Black Patent if it's possible to do so in these days and times.

I got this shoe as o cannot wear Birkenstock shoes. They hurt my feet. This shoe has a narrow footbed and it is very hard. It hurts to take a step! I was looking forward to wear in the summer as I love the brand.

Do not size down, as recommended
I am used to wearing a size 9 shoe, or a 40 EU if I'm wearing Birkenstocks. I remember Mephisto's running small on me, so I considered ordering up a size in these, but the advice says if in between sizes, order down, so I took the 9. Well, I should have listened to myself, because the 9s are quite small on me. I ordered the 10 and hope they fit better, becuase I do like the shoes very much.

Best sandles
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love the fit and the suade straps, these are comfortable from the first wearing. Wish there were more color choices in suade sandles, as much as I like these the color had a bit more green to it, described as taupe I thought it would be more beige.
