How to use: Apply a small amount of the shaving cream evenly to a damp face and neck. Shave. Rinse with warm water.

This product has made me a hero
I gave this product as a gift to my partner who has said it is hands down the best shave cream he has ever used. I expanded the gift giving to many other men, from bosses to pet sitters, family members, etc. and it has been unanimous that this is the best shave cream invented. I hope it is not being discontinued because there are going to be a lot of sad men in my life!

No Foam
The shaving cream has a decent scent, though it doesn't foam, and doesn't lubricate adequately for shaving. The shaving experience with a fresh blade feels like it's tugging the hairs out. Afterwards, the skin feels tender and overdry. It feels more like a hand cream than a shaving cream. I wouldn't buy this again, however I do like all the other Aveda products enough to repurchase on a regular basis.

Rancid smell
I no bought this for my husband as he has sensitive skin and I thought it would be better than the cheap drugstore products he usually uses. He didn't like it so I've been using it and can see why. It has a rancid smell (maybe it actually is rancid?) and it doesn't provide any slip for my razor, it's basically like shaving on dry skin.

Smooth and soothing, no after-shave discomfort
I normally use Aveda hair products. As I could not find my favourite brand of shaving gel, I order a trial size and see if I like it. As it turned out it is a very fine product. It's concentrated so I only have to apply a small amount each time, it has a very pleasant scent and is quite soothing and smooth to the skin. No after-shave discomfort which I almost do not have to use after-shave balm.

Very nice on the face!
This product is easy to apply and rinse off. Some shave creams feel greasy and don't rinse well. NOT this one. Very happy with it and it smells great. They just need to make a travel size now.
