Medium Cassandra Quilted Leather Envelope Bag

Lovely exterior quilting design and the caviar finish always ages well. This and size are worth 5-stars, but I’m knocking off 2 stars because of the color. Its supposed to be taupe/griege but it honestly looks more like olive green. I’m assuming that’s because of lighting?, so I’ll make my final decision tomorrow in daytime light. But it’s still pretty dark, which means it’ll look olive green when I carry it in the evening. …and that’s exactly what I didn’t want - another dark bag. I really wanted this design and medium size in beige so I had an everyday bag when wearing pinks, reds, neutrals, etc….colors that look better with a lighter bag than black (although, if I was in the market for a black bag, this is a gorgeous option.) But alas, I have multiple black bags - exactly why I wanted beige. The interior size is great for everyday use for me - it’s nice and open. You’ll need a wallet or card holder though, as the interior pocket is super narrow against the stiff leather. Not a lot of give to accommodate a wad of cash and cards. The exterior has a pocket on the backside, however it too is narrow. The back pocket can accommodate an iPhone but not smoothly or with the phone concealed. But again, I love the interior size because it will accommodate a case for glasses/sunglasses/readers + iPhone + multiple tubes of lippies + a compact + a card case + mints. And, it’s not too big for petite frames. So I really do love the design. But it’s this color… too dark! I was also a bit surprised at how it was presented to me upon pickup. It was in its dust bag stuffed in a small Nordstrom bag. No box. For $3k, I expected a bit more in presentation. I know I’m being nit picky on that, but still. $3k and a gorgeous bag deserves a bit more respect in presentation. No protection of a box during transport other than the dust bag? Anyway, cross your fingers for me the color looks better in daylight because I really do want to keep it simply for design and size!
