Perfect compact stroller for everyday and travel!!
I just got this stroller for my 18month old and I’m very happy with my purchase! I’ve had really nice strollers for each of my 3 children from bugaboo, uppaaby vista and the mclaren triumph. I was debating between the lara and the uppababy minu as my other strollers take up a lot of trunk space or/and are heavy (particularly the Vista which is a beast taking in and out of the car and takes so much trunk space!). Seeing the minu and the Lara side by side I could immediately see the difference. The Lara is more compact which I love because when we travel I do want something small and can carry on. It’s super light and perfect for the mom on the go! It’s perfect when taking my little one to do errands or a quick trip to the park. One thing to note on the Lara is that the basket is small and it doesn’t have a rain cover so those are the two cons about it. The minu seemed bigger and bulkier than the Lara when I put them side by side, which I probably would recommend if you wanted a a heavy duty lighter stroller than the vista and has a big basket. Also, I’d be shocked if the minu actually fit in the overhead bin of a plane and there’s no doubt in mind that Lara would. So, if you’re looking for a compact, easy and light stroller I highly recommend the maxi cosi Lara!

False advertisement
We did so much research in trying to find a compact stroller that checked off a bunch of our needs for our little one. We spent hours going to places road testing each stroller. We thought this was the closest to what we were looking for: compact, flat recline, extended foot rest, comfortable padding, UV protection, 5 - point harness, peek-a-boo flap, good wheels. The only thing additional we wanted was an added snack bar which we could live without. However, the Lara stroller that Maxi-Cosi advertises on their website with the videos showing a complete flat recline are false. Nordstrom has no affiliation with Maxi-Cosi’s false advertisement b/c the photos and details sent to them are straight from the supplier and the strollers are shipped directly from Nordstrom, but straight from Maxi-Cosi. After time spent going back and forth with Maxi-Cosi, they told us that the flat recline is only a European version and not the US version. Of course, we were frustrated that they would advertise on their US website a video of a baby reclining flat if it’s not something they supply! There are only 2 reclines and the highest recline is too high that it’s uncomfortable for the babe. Another thing to note is that Maxi-Cosi doesn’t tell you there are 2 versions to their recline adjustments and you take a gamble at which one you’ll get b/c customer service agents said they don’t know as well. One adjustment recline is the snap backing recline that gives you the awkward high sitting recline. The other one is the adjustable recline that isn’t a snap closure where you control the level of recline. We asked if we returned the snap closure, if they could send the adjustable one, but they said they wouldn’t be able to know either so they couldn’t make any promises. Are you serious?! So disappointed. The only plus side was their customer service was fast and honest which we did appreciate. Better then us going on some wild goose chase trying to find the flat recline and the adjustable strap recline.

Product Defect!
I had purchased this stroller during the pandemic, so it wasn't used very much. I really loved that it was compact & light weight. Unfortunately, I had a few instances where the stroller collapsed while my toddler was in it. It was very traumatic for little one and I. Now, I'm afraid to use it.

Bought this because it was cheaper than the uppa baby equivalent of it. You get what you paid for. It was alright within the first few uses. But the clip that keeps folded and compact stopped locking in place. Ended up using a Velcro strap to secure it. After traveling with and putting some miles on it (ie airports) the leg rest does stay up. Also the cup holder snapped off. I have had cheaper and more sturdy umbrella strollers in the past and they worked great. The only upside of owning this stroller is that it does save trunk space. It's compact light weight, smooth ride and easily maneuverable but for $200 I expected to be more sturdy. ESP the parts that matter (leg rest and the clasp that keeps it folded and closed).

great stroller
I love the compact size of this stroller, it is also a very stable stroller too. The canopy cover is great with extensive coverage from the elements. I tried to find a travel bag for this model and had no luck until I came across one that seemed promising. Target has a Contours Bitsy Carry Bag that fits perfectly for traveling with the stroller.

Feels Cheap
This stroller feels very flimsy and the backing curls forward whenever not toddler sits straight. The clips to close don’t always work and unfortunately I can’t see myself using this in the long run. I tried to stick it out but this will have to go back.
