Barbie^® Dreamtopia Twinkle Lights Mermaid^™ Doll

2 stars because the lights last a long time and the Barbie is beautiful. However, she got moldy. We followed care instructions. I have been emailing Mattel and they are horrible to work with. They will not just answer me when I ask what else I can do to prevent mold and if I ended up with a dud Barbie and if it likely to happen again.

This mermaid Barbie doll is perfect for swimming in the pool or the bathtub. My daughter loved to push the button to make the lights light up in her tail, or the fact that once you submerged her in water, her tail would light up automatically. I would highly recommend this Barbie Dreamtopia doll for your Barbie and mermaid lover! She’s a beautifully made Barbie doll that will give that special girl in your life hours of entertainment and fun!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My daughter absolutely adores this Barbie mermaid. She requests it all the time during her baths and even takes it into the pool to play. The fun light up fin is a nice touch although my 4 year old daughter has trouble pushing the button herself. I wish it were a little easier for little fingers to use. Overall a great addition to our bath time routine!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Barbie has quickly become the most popular doll in our house. The light effect has clearly been the most standout feature of the doll. I have been informed on multiple occasions that is “her magic shining on her tail.” The best part of the doll has been how is has sparked my child’s imagination and creativity when it comes to story telling. She has come up with some of the most fantastical tales. (although, sometimes hard to follow as children’s stories tend to be). The doll has help up well going to play dates, trips to grandma’s, and slumber parties. We haven’t seen any wear to the paint or loss of luminesce to tail either. We love her, even though I have to set out an extra plate for her at dinner and tuck her in at night as well.

It was colorful and she really enjoyed the taking the product in the bathtub. The play feature of lighting up was a favorite of my daughter and she loved seeing it colorful, especially in the bath. The only downside, was that the button was very hard to press for her little hands. She had to frequently ask me to press the button for her. It almost stuck and was even hard for me to press.
