This was a lot of money for me. I want my shoes to be really good if I spend this much money. I wanna be able to resole them, and maybe even take them to a cobbler to be stretched a little because my left foot is a little wide. (There are hardly ever any cool boots available in wide that also offer traction to an aging indie rock girl.) So my heart sank when I felt how lightweight they were - because it’s definitely constructed in such a way that I don’t think they’re gonna be able to be resoled. But it really is leather, n unlike a lot of shoes I get these days there weren’t any stray stitches sticking out or anything. I don’t think that much of the foot bed, not the arch support I was expecting and nor is it in anyway premium, but it does have a little bit of cushion. I’m probably gonna keep them but I sure hope they work out because I won’t be affording another pair for quite a while! I feel like I’m still taking a risk in keeping them. But it would also be a risk to go a size up for width and then find out that I needed to go back to these for length. Usually by the time that happens the size I need is gone. If this isn’t a lot of money to you I wholeheartedly suggest getting them, and if it is a lot of money to you or your feet are over age 50, I would say try something else first!
