Dahlia Cutout Turtleneck Top

This is the most GORGEOUS top!! It fits like a dream, the material feels like buttah and the unusual style elevates a scoop-neck top to superstar status. It's a little tricky to figure out the sleeve the first time you put it on, but once you realize you have to put your arm through the lower part of the turtleneck where it attaches to the sleeeve, you'll never forget. (Note - the picture of the customer wearing the red top is wearing it wrong - apparently, she did not get the memo on how to put this on!!) Heads will turn when you wear this. And the red color is, hands down, the truest, most beautiful red. Loved it so much I got it in both black and red.

If you’ve read some of my other reviews, you may already know that I am in the middle of a long overdue revamp of my wardrobe and adding timeless chic black pieces for this fall. I discovered Marcella via an influencer account on IG and was thrilled to see it on Nordstrom as I love their painless return policy. I have to confess that I am now officially obsessed with this brand after buying 5-6 different pieces to try out, including the Dahlia turtleneck in black. First, quality of the material is soft and thicker than the typical t-shirt material, making it perfect for fall. Second, the fit is flattering even on my top-heavy hourglass figure (yay!). Third, the asymmetrical cutouts add “I was born with it” subtle sexy flair and not over-the-top tacky. With a jacket on, it is professional for work and cute on its own for a casual social evening out. Last, if you don’t want to go braless or suffer through a strapless bra, I was able to adjust/hide my straps so they didn’t peek through the cutouts. The only negative is that the sleeves and torso length are a bit long for us petite gals but not a dealbreaker.
