In This Instance Try Before You Buy
Okay so first off let me say I read the last review from 7/23 and I heeded the recommendation of Nordstrom to size down half a size, So the review stated that the boot was heavy and almost 3lbs WRONG LOL it’s actually pretty lightweight for a stacked wooden heel review states not standard quality for MF WRONG AGAIN the cracked leather is beautiful and will age nicely and its soft but stiff at the same time hence the aging nicely the boot is beautiful and I love the fact that it was on sale. I titled my review try on beforehand b/c even though your advised to size down, you really should try the boot on because the shaft of the boot is narrow so if you have wide flat feet like me and usually wear a 9/10 euro you may need to stick with your true to size so TRY BEFORE YOU BUY! Otherwise you’ll be completely satisfied with your purchase. For reference I am a size 9/10 euro in shoes and I purchased online with ship to store pickup option so I tried them on IN STORE the black crackled leather in a size 8.5 and they fit perfectly!

beautiful shoes but received them used
I just received this shoes this afternoon and upon opening, I was very surprised to received worn shoes and dirty. I don’t knew how it passed QA. Whoever packed it and send it didn’t do their job right. Very dissappointed! Based on history, shoes came from the store where customers have tried on. Come on Nordstrom!

Runs big, heed Nordstrom’s advice!
Take Nordstrom ‘s advice and order one half size down. the shaft is a little taller, which I liked, but it’s very stiff and I’m not sure it will give with time. The description says stacked heel, but I doubt it. It looks like a printed veneer - a crepe/rubber heel/sole would have worked better.
Finally, these are HEAVY. One boot weighs 1.4 lbs. That’s almost 3lbs extra you’ll be carrying around! Undecided if I’m keeping them as I DONT feel these are truly Marc Fisher quality…

Perfect boots, wide foot approved!
These are lovely boots. Not sure why the earlier review thought they were heavy and cheap. They are not heavy and the leather is beautiful and great quality. I felt they ran true to size. I can wear anything from a 6-7 and I ordered my normal 6.5. They fit great, but I do have a 7 coming in the mail too, to try with thicker socks to see what I like. I advise ordering your normal size.
I have a wide foot and bunion and the leather was soft and had some give so they work for us wide foot girls too.

Fun Fall Boot!
I buy a couple of boots every year on the anniversary sale, and this is one of the pairs I am keeping this year! I wear a size 8 in most shoes, but usually always size up in boots to an 8 1/2. On these, I went with my normal size 8. I have been looking for a brown boot to wear with my brown Gucci belt, and the color pairs up perfectly! I also find the boots to be comfortable! Win for me!

Size up a half size
This boot is beautiful in person. My mom and sister loved them. From the leather smell when I opened the box I knew these would be lovely shoes. Unfortunately, I need to send them back for a half size up. I am a true size 7 and these fit, but I don’t think I’ll have room for a thicker sock come the fall and winter. I read the previous review that recommended sizing down and I disagree. I personally feel like the true size fits well and maybe size up if you intend to wear with thicker tights or a regular sock.

Perfect boots!
These boots are worth the money. I typically purchase a pair of boots from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale because they are such a great deal. These shoes are perfect. True to size, didn't seem to run big. Compared to previous years of Marc Fisher boots, these actually are VERY light. The older Marc Fisher boots were like bricks and heavy, but these are actually very light. Quality is the amazing Marc Fisher quality. Definitely a great purchase!
