MARC BY MARC JACOBS 'Preppy Nylon - Sasha' Crossbody Bag

I purchased this bag to use as my 'summer bag' as I thought it would be large enough to easily carry my DSLR camera. When it came, the size is perfect to carry my larger camera plus my additional necessities: wallet, phone, lip gloss, etc... The one concern I did have was that I wasnt a huge fan of the luggage tag that hangs from the front of this bag in every picture. Once it arrived, I saw that the tag actually hangs from a mid-point on the purse and naturally tucks into that front pocket. Upon purchaseing, I planned to remove it, now I will simply keep it tucked in.

I bought this bag a few days before I left for Italy. It was perfect for my whole trip because it can fit everything and you can put your valuables inside the bigger zipped pocket which is not noticeable. The size is great, if you are looking for a bag similar, the smaller one is smaller by a good amount so this one was perfect for fitting many items in. The associate at Nordstrom who helped me order this was absolutely AMAZING. Truly an epitome of excellent customer service.

I bought this to use on international travel. I wanted a non leather bag that could hold a lot and had multiple pockets. As I used this bag, I liked it even more. The flap on the bag closes magnetically and within the flap is another pocket. The flap has a zipper on it and this where I stored my I pad along with travel documents. This flap kept those items secure and separate from the numerous items that one normally keeps in their purse. In the main area of the purse, there are two inside pockets to store cell phone and wide enough to put a passport when you need to have it handy. This was a great purchase for me and the material wipes clean and always looks neat. It is big enough to put additional items you may want to keep handy when you have an overnight flight. I will not limit my use for international travel since this is a great purse.

Well, I really made a mess of this bag so called Marc Jacobs help who sent me to their repair line. The bag comes with no cleaning instructions. (I bought this in the cement color - not the black shown) and the repair section was no help at all. They would not give me c leaning instructions. I ordered a second bag in case my laundering didn't work. I spotted it with Oxy clean, washed it on gentle, cold with an extra rinse (front loader) and dried it on extra low. I used an environmentally safe detergent and It came out almost good as new so I will be returning the second bag.

This is my first crossbody bag - and I love it! It's so great to have everything I need within reach, but have my arms free. I am a big fan of MJ, and love the nylon collections because they are lightweight and easy to clean. I went to the store and tried on all of the small and medium crossbodies in every brand - and this one was a great balance between design and function. It is SO comfortable. I bought it for a trip - but ultimately went with the larger size so that I could use it more in everyday life. As a mom, I am always carrying extra things, so I love the space. The leather strap is comfortable and has plenty of notches for different lengths. I definitely recommend this bag. And I loved my experience buying it at Nordstrom!
