Maiden Ankle Strap Platform Sandal (Women)

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Oh boy did I love the look of these right out of the box! I loved the neutral colors of the straps, the lighter cream almost white across the toes, and the darker taupe color across the ankles. The gold accents on the platform and the heel make it looks classy and elegant. They wear nicely. The straps are comfortable and the thick heel helps with being able to wear them for a night without killing your feet. I would say they fit true to size. Unfortunately they are only pretty at a distance. When I really took the heels and looked them over there were a lot of imperfections. There was paint all over the gold part of the heel, glue oozing out the sides where it attached, and actually part of the heel separating from the sole. I was surprised at all the defects. I truly expected better quality from DKNY. I would not repurchase these without inspecting the shoe first and making sure they were not flawed like this pair was.
