Madison 2 in 1 Garment Duffel Bag

This is the ultimate in travel packing and organization. Baggallini has thought of everything. It will accomodate the full length my dresses along with compartments for everything you would need for a short trip. Coupled with a carryon bag (and it will load on the carryon handle) you could go for a long time with a variety of clothes and shoes (shoe bag included). Plus it compresses flat for storage. I’ve been using Baggallini travel luggage and purses for decades but this blows my mind.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Again this Garment Duffel checks all the boxes for which we (my husband & I) were looking. Our previous garment bag (not a Baggallini) was not carry-on compliant and so the contents needed for a wedding were accidently sent to India instead of Portland, OR. We attended the wedding in the clothes we had on our backs. The duffel is well constructed and the fabric is sturdy. It sits securely on top of our Baggallini Gramercy Wheeled Duffel with the luggage sleeve on the back. Zipping and unzipping the bag is quick and easy. We're extremely pleased with our purchase.

I purchased the olive green garment duffle prior to Thanksgiving. I absolutely love this bag! It holds a good amount of summer clothes and accessories. The material of the bag and zippers are sturdy. I gave 4 stars because it doesn't have a sleeve on the bottom of the bag so you can slip it onto a rolling dolly. My husband configured something for me that included a small rolling dolly and some straps. The bag can be pretty heavy and uncomfortable to carry when fully packed. Other than that I'm loving the bag. I wanted to purchase one for both my daughters but the olive green is no longer available.

This material is very high quality, the zippers too. It’s bigger than I expected it to be, but wish it was still slightly a tad bigger, or I guess a bit longer for gowns to be covered. I am impressed it fits my husband’s 2X calf length wool coat. The bottom of the coat comes to just above the bottom of the length of the protective sleeve. I do wish there was a zipper closing option for the bottom as well, so there could be different packing options without things falling out the bottom. There are pockets than expected. Although there is no laptop sleeve even with the hanger being folded as it is, a 2024 15” MacBook Pro in its slim sleeve carry bag fits in the duffle space and can still zip closed, it’s not a perfectly neat zip, but it zips closed. I thought the luggage sleeve would have a zipper to double as as one more pocket as it does on ALL of my other baggallini bags, but was surprised to find this one does not this is why the 4 out of 5, it seems like a missed opportunity for space usage, which this company is usually pretty aware of. I like the colors I chose because they both match the sets of luggage I have. Hoping ya’ll come out with an OD or olive green color, so I may get one more for my husband to match his luggage he liked it so much. Baggallini never disappoints with their product quality or material. Always waiting to see which colors they come out with next, and which products they upgrade from user reviews.

I could not make this work as shown. I tried to put a sweater and a pair of pants in the hanging section and could get the sides to roll up and zip. The whole thing looked lumpy and I was sweating by the time I finally got it kind of zipped up with the help of a second person. It’s a great concept but it doesn’t even work half empty much less with all that they show in my experience.

I purchased one of these garment duffels for my husband from another company; he wasn't as impressed as I was with the design so I returned it and have been perusing garment duffels for myself ever since. This bag is amazing - the construction quality, number and placement of the pockets, and interior storage space is far superior to the version I purchased for my husband. Even without the garment storage, this is a quality, well designed bag. It's worth noting it doesn’t have a laptop pocket, which is usually not an issue for me as I store my electronics in a wheeled hardside underseater to which this bag can be attached using the handy luggage sleeve, but I did confirm that even when loaded with 3 garments I was able to fit my laptop sleeve horizontally inside. I have a LOT of duffels, but since making the wise decision to take advantage of an excellent sale on this bag, I am inclined to sell or donate most of my existing collection as I'll be using this bag much more often than I originally intended. Highly recommend.
