Nice design but leather was all scratched up and had a large ballpoint pen mark on the side
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a really cute bag and it is a great style and size. The issue is that the one that I bought, the brown color, came with leather that was VERY scratched up on the outside and it also had a large ballpoint pen mark on the side. It looked like someone had used it for awhile, sent it back with use and damage, and then they resold it as new on the website. This is not the quality that I expect from Madewell. it is definitely NOT made well.

Not as soft as I expected.
I like the size, the shape, and the color. Unfortunately it’s not as soft as I expected. Also, the inner pocket would have a zipper: when you put several things in it, the result in pretty messy.

I love the size and color. It’s the perfect medium size bag. The leather is really nice and soft. The color I chose goes with everything. I’m sure with time and use it’ll get a bit darker. The stitching it very well done. I’m planning to get the green one next.
