The Slouchy Boyjean Boyfriend Jeans

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Dignified, flattering, comfortable, effortlessly cool jeans that don't squeeze, cup or wedgie. No magic pockets, no button fly. Even though these jeans are loose & feel like pjs, they have a flattering drape & they don't look sloppy, bulky or overwhelm. 11O lbs, 5'8", usually 24. I got the 23, which fit comfortably at the waist, but didn't flare out at the thighs as much. After a couple of days of wear, the jeans were hitting me below the navel, just like in the pictures. I have narrow hips & thighs. People with more hip & thigh may prefer their usual size, since these jeans are not meant to sit at the waist anyway. Tall size has higher rise than standard size does. Only in this wash, the tall pockets are slightly lower than in the standard size. The denim quality in this wash is perfect & durable, although I wish Madwewell would prewash & dry their denim & all fabrics. MADEWELL plz make these in dark indigo & optic black, no contrast stitching, no distressing.

There is no stretch which is a little bit of a bummer but I love the mid rise fit and they do stretch out over time. I went with my normal Madewell size and I'm glad I did. Several people said to size down, but if you're curvy, I wouldn't do that. I found them to be a little snug in the hips and since there is no stretch, they totally work in my normal size. I suppose if you were straight up and down, you may want to size down. They are roomy in the legs and the grey color is great. They are not as light grey as the pictures online but they will probably lighten with washing. I'm 5'9" and went with the regular length which works perfectly.
