Best jeans ever
So these are probably the best pair of jeans I've ever owned. They cover your ankles, waist is nice and high, and both the boyfriend and female friends have commented on how good my butt looks in them. I sized down, normally I'm an 8 in bottoms and I took a 28 in these. Take your normal size for a looser fit, I probably could have sized down two sizes if I had wanted them super tight.

Very unflattering
I felt mixed about buying these because the reviews are really mixed, but these are not flattering at all. I do find them true to size unlike other reviewers, but the cut just doesn’t do anything for the body. These might look best on tall, thin body types, but definitely not on me at 5’4” with curves.

Cute if You Want 90’s Slightly Baggy
These went back, because I felt like the waist and thighs were flattering but they were too baggy from the knees down.. Definitely more of a 90’s loose fit that goes past your ankles. I feel the ankle length is a tad more flattering. These are a bit baggier in the knee than other Perfect Vintage from Madewell I’ve purchased. I would recommend ordering 1-2 sizes down. I wear a 25 in 99% of denim brands and 24 in most Madewell jeans, but in the Perfect Vintage I’m always a 23 for a more flattering fit. So if you’re looking for a more fitted look I’d do 1 size down from your normal Madewell jean size. If you’re looking for the 90’s loose fit this is a good one.. but I wasn’t in love so back they go.

just not for me
The fit around the waist and in the butt of these jeans spectacular, however the stove pipe leg just does not work on my 5'4" frame. Sad to be sending them back! I wish this jean had a more slim, tapered look past the knee.

Nice quality. I’m 5’2 and the cuff works for my 26-27 inch inseam. I think they’re about 1-2 sizes off. Bought down from my usual size and still too big. Like too big to alter even. If on the fence go down at least 1 if not 2 sizes.

Amazing everyday jeans!
I purchased these jeans in the hopes they would be comfortable to wear around the house and/or doing some chores outside and I wanted to look more put together (instead of wearing leggings or sweatpants) and these were the best pair of pants I have ever bought. They are so comfortable to wear everyday and have enough stretch in the waist area so you don't feel sucked in all day (I have a bit of a tummy because I had a baby a few months back and haven't started working out yet lol). I purchased my regular size 10 (30) size and I would definitely agree with all other reviews saying they run a bit big and at first I thought I would return them because I thought they would stretch a lot but honestly, if your looking for that loose, 90's, mom vibe then stay with your regular size. In terms of length, they hit exactly where the models are which is also exactly what I wanted. After the wash they fit tighter but still comfortable and throughout the day they stretch out a bit but overall, amazing pair of jeans for a great price.

These would be truly perfect in a longer length.
The high rise is well drafted and the waist line is straight, rather than being higher in front or back. They're worth it just for that! They're great for when you want to be casual but don't want ripped jeans. There is a bit of wearing ease compared to the negative ease of skinny jeans, so take that into consideration when choosing a size. Imo, there's no need to size down if you understand this fit. I could have the waist taken in an inch or two to accentuate my waist, but probably will just wear a belt tbh.
