The Boardwalk Lace-Up Sandal

I like the style and quality of this sandal however the strap that runs across the foot cuts right at my baby toe and I’m afraid will be too uncomfortable over time. I was also slightly disappointed w/ the feel of the leather. Far and away Madewell leather is usually soft and comfy, but these felt a little different. The leather was more rigid and less forgiving. Unfortunately I’m going to return.

These are my all-time favorite sandals EVER—I have an older version that I've been wearing for years and need a new pair, but size 8 has been sold out for months! Please restock soon!!

I’ve been looking all over for a simple pair of gladiator style sandals that were not embellished. Madewell you did a great job. These are amazing. They are very flat so if you have arch issues I don’t know if it’s the best for ya but all in all the look the comfort and the color are spot on!!!

I ordered my size the first time and for unknown reason didn't fit. I couldn't even get my toe in the ring which seems strange. I returned those and ordered a half size up and they did fit this time. However though I have gotten compliments on them, they are not very comfortable. I thought that maybe they might loosen up a bit but the strings are very hard and dig into your feet. If you loosen the strings you slide all over in the sandal. I'm sorry that I wore them for a 3 mile walk today and though I think they will last, they aren't fun to wear for very long.

Ordered my normal size 8M in the tan, fit perfectly. Laces are a bit stiff but will soften up w/wear.

These sandals are super cute and stylish! They are comfortable too. I was afraid the straps would cut into my skin and be uncomfortable but they were not! Wore them all day and got several compliments! They can dress up any causal outfit and make you feel sexy!
