The Best!
I am obsessed with this bag. It's the perfect size for events (weddings especially) when you just need a lipstick, your phone, and a few cards. I can easily fit my sunnies, keys, cards, phone and a chapstick. (iPhone XS for reference) I love this purse so much!

The truth about this bag
It's nice, but if what you're looking for is the soft leather with veining shown above, this isn't the bag. In fact, to compensate for what is very clearly a different product than shown above, Madewell has included a small tag inside that reads: As leather is a natural material, each bag has its own unique texture and look ( i.e., what may seem like an imperfection is to actually what makes it special).
It might be real leather, but it looks cheap.

Elegant and versatile
Love that it can be worn with the chain doubled up or as a crossbody. Fits my phone, lipstick, few cards and keys. Great size for a night out or when I don’t need to lug a bunch of stuff for my kids.

Too small for me.
This bag was ordered because it was small and a crossbody. But when I received it I first tried with my iPhone, it barely fit. It is made really well and the leather was very soft. I just didn’t work for my iPhone 8+ so I returned it. I wish it worked.

This is really small. Barely enough for an iPhone X with a slim cAse. Maybe a card wallet and a lipstick. Its hard to get things out of it. Chain is great. Works for parties.
