Have this cardigan in several different colors but especially like this dusty rose color for spring. They are comfortable and cozy . My only complaint is they do tend to pill pretty badly . I find that this is pretty oversized and recommend ordering a size down

Not "Made Well"
I purchased this sweater in black back in the fall, and since then I think I have maybe worn it 5 times and washed it once in between. The first couple of times I wore it, I noticed it started to pill (which is why I decided to go ahead and wash it). I was hoping this would help, but it only made matters worse. I actually wore it yesterday to work, hence my review today.... I got to work this morning and noticed there are literally black pieces of the sweater ALL over the office... Super embarrassing. Someone even asked what all of the stuff on the ground is. So I am REALLY hoping Nordstrom will accept this return, I will not be wearing it again.

Pretty nice and cozy, but started pilling!
This sweater is so cozy and soft, I tend to wear it around the house more often. It's pretty over-sized, so I wouldn't call it 'shape-flattering'. So, I went down to a small from my usual medium. As soft as it is, it actually started pilling almost immediately. I wish the material had a bit more integrity. With all that said, I'm glad I got it on sale and it's a pretty good, standard cozy sweater for indoors.

Soft but pills terribly
I loved it when I first got it. I purchased it in grey and sized down. It was a beautiful color and sooooooo incredibly soft. Unfortunately, it started pilling immediately. I've had it for a few weeks now and it continues to pill terribly.

NICE COLOR, NOT GREAT QUALITY
The color of this sweater is so beautiful, and it fits very well. The problem is that after just one wear it looks like I pulled a 94 year old sweater out of a box from my grandma's attic. This sweater balls very badly and it looks horrible. My advice: if you buy this sweater, only wear it while you're standing still.

Cannot believe the positive reviews
I'm beyond disappointed in this cardigan. This is my first Madewell cardigan, and it's turned me off the brand completely. I purchased this in black over the summer at the NSale, and am only now needing to wear it with the weather finally cooling down in CA. I've only worn it TWICE and it's like the thing is DISINTEGRATING as it's on my body. There is SO MUCH LINT AND PILLING it's like I'm dropping little lint balls and fuzz everywhere I sit and walk (picture Pig-Pen from Charlie Brown, but with fuzz and lint balls). Anyone I hugged was covered in fuzz... I sat on my friend's couch and had to lint roll the entire couch area that I sat on... It's incredibly frustrating since I've already removed the tags and washed the item once so I'm not going to be able to return this. I usually never write negative reviews like this, but I'm so disgusted because I'm basically throwing money in the trash can... because that's exactly where the sweater is going.

cozy Fall staple
Grabbed this beauty in the Anniversary sale. It’s roomy and comfy. It’s a bit scratchy with wool content if you’re sensitive. Still on the fence about keeping it, I have another sweater in this color on order.
