my new favorite jeans
I sized down to a 26 and they fit like a glove! For reference I’m 5’9 and usually a 27 in designer jeans. I’m not exactly curvy but my waist is small compared to my lower half. The jeans are soft and stretch with the perfect thickness.

Jeans Changed for the Worse
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I originally bought these jeans in 2017 in a 26 and they fit perfectly - snug but stretched a little with wear. 5 years later it's time to replace and I am so disappointed to find the fabric and fit has changed. I ordered a 25 (I'm a 27 inch waist for reference) and they were big, way too stretchy, and not the same color wash as before - darker, less blue. Sad to return. The vanity sizing has gotten out of control. Unfortunately, I think this is my last Madewell purchase. Their quality has deteriorated to the point that I have returned or not worn the majority of items I've bought from them over the last 2 years.

Comfortable and great fit
Love the curvy fit! I am not even very curvy but these fit much better than madewell's usual high rise skinnies (which are so straight through the hips they tend gap at the waist). I was really surprised by how flat these lay against my lower back and I love the ultra high rise. They are incredibly comfortable, but don't look quite as substantial as regular jeans due to the tencel. I always find that tencel tends to make clothes start smelling bad faster. I probably would have kept them if they had been offered in petite, the regular length is just not very flattering on my 5'4" frame. For reference I am 135 lbs and ordered the 29 (my usual size)

Quality changed
I’ve had these jeans since they first came out. I bought 4 pairs last year. I saw these were on sale so I thought I would buy some more. The quality is way lower than the originals. Color is different (more brown, less blue) and they feel more like cheap $10 jeans. Definitely not Madewell’s usual quality...

New favorite jeans
I’ve never written a review for jeans before but these are so good I had to. I have curvy hips and a smaller waist and now that I’ve had two kids my tummy isn’t as flat as it used to be. :( these hold everything in and are super flattering and don’t gape at the waist like most jeans on me. They also slim out the legs. I used the size guide and they fit like a glove.

Dont Age Well
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I ordered these Nov 2021 and in less than a year and a half, the seat is nearly see through and has a several weakened areas Im afraid are going to bust! I do wear these 2-3 times a week but by no means am I 'maxing out' the denim, they're actually a little loose. I measure 24" waist and 36" hips. They are very stretchy, thus are extremely comfortable. The knees are a bit baggy but they've been consistent since new. They look great but don't last as long as you would expect for such an expensive jean.
