Central Blouse

This top is going to be perfect for the hot, humid summer in my area. It passes both the fabric test (thick enough that nipples don't show through bra and shirt) and the button test (no gaping between buttons over the bust). I like both the weight of the fabric and the width for breath-ability. The only thing odd about it is the cuffed sleeve. Due to the stiffness of the fabric, which may relax with washing, they make you look wider. And they made me feel like an extra in Grease or the Outsiders, like I might have a pack of cigarettes rolled up in them. I'm planning to turn them under so the top looks sleeveless.

Quickly returned this. The arm holes are huge and the shirt itself is very wide. I am 5'9, size 6. Shirt length is appropriate, just too wide.

I thought this would be the perfect staple wardrobe piece but sadly it was gigantic. I’m usually a XS/S and got a XXS based on other reviews, and it was still huge. For reference, I’m 5’3 and this shirt came to mid thigh.

I’m almost 5’10 with a small bust and typically wear a medium in Madewell clothes. This shirt could be cute with high waisted skirts/pants but it was too wide/boxy on my frame to justify keeping it.

I was really excited to try this shirt, but it was way too large. I was looking for something oversize, but this went past that point to being comically too big. I would have tried a smaller size if available. I would say runs larger than normal Madewell sizing. I generally have luck with their XXS, but not this time. The shirt itself seemed to be of good quality, and would make a nice drape and oversized white shirt.

Ordinarily I love Madewell. This stop was way too big. Voluminous and unflattering. Thin cotton and not especially great styling. Way too much for a flimsy o e season top. Returned.
