10-Inch High-Rise Tulip-Hem Skinny Jeans

Unfortunately these jeans didn't work for me. I could have sized down one size probably, but decided to order my normal size. The jeans were comfortable, but they were bunching in the knees in a weird way. I will send them back as this bunching is something that bothered me so much, I know I'd never wear them.

First off, I want to say that I am not a high waist jean person - this was the first pair I had ever tried on, along with the first time I've tried Madewell jeans. The girl that was helping me brought them to my room (along with the Madewell simple strip shirt) and said to just try it. Well, she hit it out of the park because these are the most phenomenal pair of jeans I've ever worn! Suck you in and give you an amazing butt! I typically wear low waisted, in Hudson/Paige (size 29) but sized down to a 27 in these and they fit like a glove. (Size ref: 5'6", 135lbs)

Love the look of these jeans and the fit was perfect. I am returning because they are full length on me and I was looking for more of an ankle fit.

I am new to Madewell jeans, and I love them, but also want to warn everyone about sizing down. I am not saying don't, I am just saying be careful about it. I bought a 27 and wish I had bought a 28. I don't think of myself of having a small waist/big booty, but I do work out quite a bit, so I have muscular legs and butt. I love how the 27 fits in my waist, but I probably would have preferred the 28 for a tad bit more room in my booty/legs. They certainly aren't too tight, by any means, but they do sort've pull down a little when I sit down or like kneel down. They look and feel great standing up, but I would prefer the 28 for just a little more movement. That is all! I am 5'8, 159lbs, pretty athletic build. Overall, the jeans are soft, and bc I bought these as final sale, I am stuck with the 27, but thats ok!

These are the perfect pair of jeans for spring and summer. The frayed hem is not skimpy like on other jeans I’ve seen. Also fit perfectly. I’m 5’6” and 130 and got a size 4.

I have ordered Madewell jeans before so I knew I would like these. however this is the first for me with a frayed bottom. They look nice with the small boot I have. The Madewell jeans fit so nice and I love the fit since it is high waisted. It looks nice with a tunic but also a shirt tucked in. This jean is comfortable and fits true to size. I don't feel you need to size down unless you want them super tight. These jeans don't bag out like other have.
