Mai Wool Long Wrap Coat

I specifically bought this coat in part because the reviews said it was warm enough to wear in areas with cold winters, but when I received it the tag said this was the lightest version of the coat, not really suitable for temperatures before 41 deg F. This information, along with the information that Mackage rates their coats for various degrees of cold weather (there are 4 levels) was not included in the product description and would have been extremely handy in choosing what I wanted. It's a gorgeous coat, very comfortable and a good fit, but warmth level is important information when buying a winter coat (especially one as pricy as this one) and I don't really appreciate the info on warmth levels being withheld, especially when it was readily available to be put into the product description.

Had to return it. The coat was unlined which seemed odd comsodering the price of the coat.

This coat is a splurge, but let me tell you it’s the best money I’ve spent. I’ve had it for over a year now and have worn it for all of my evening dinners or dressy occasions and I always feel like a million bucks. I did have the alterations team shorten the sleeves a little and they did a great job. I also purchased a belt to go over top instead of the tie when I want to look even more elevated. I love this jacket so much.

Ordered a medium online. I was guessing a medium or large would fit me. After I received it I think I may need the small. But never the less, the wool was too itchy for me. And just looks like a nice bathrobe. Returned for a different style.

The cost is absolutely gorgeous, soft, and warm. It is designed for mild winters or cool and crisp late fall. It drapes beautifully whether you wear it wrapped around your body and tied with the belt, or open and cinched with the belt in the back. Just beware that it runs large. I am 5’5”, size 0 or 2, depending on the designer. I took an online test to determine my perfect size in this coat three times, and each time the recommended size was XS. However, I own another drapy Mackage coat, and it is definitely on a larger side. So I decided to take my chances and order XXS. I was nervous until the coat arrived, but it fit like what you see on the model. I recommend this lovely and timeless piece hands down, but if you have any doubts about the fit, might be wise to go with the smaller size.

Gorgeous long and warm coat. Wrap gives it the ability to wear open or quick tie. Nice on its own or with a scarf. I live in Canada and this coat keeps me warm. I’m 5”11 and lean- the medium had long enough sleeves and still fit in the shoulders. Love this coat!
