MAC Haute & Naughty Lash Mascara

I must say that I am a mascara junkie. Always searching for that perfect mascara. Look no more because this two brush engineering masterpiece is fantastic. First the "Pink" wand really is fantastic for separating and finding all your lashes then you put that back in and unscrew the "Purple" wand and it really amps up the length and dimensions of your lashes. Just the perfect mascara. I have dry eyes and use a lot of eye drops during the day but this mascara stays put and is extremely easy to remove at night. Love it!!!

I have to admit, the brushes confuse the heck out of me :) but i will definitely be willing to buy this again. Before my purchase last week, I had only bought a MAC paint for an eyeshadow base.. Boy have I been missing out! I bought this, actually two of them, one for my mom (who had spotted the product first, based on the tube itself) and one for me. We watched the girl working the counter talk to another customer about it... it didn't take much to talk my mom into letting me buy her a tube of it also. It made my lashes SUPER long this morning, where they almost curled up to my eyebrows! Not only that, it separated my eye lashes really nicely, too, very minimal clumping, I haven't had a mascara do that in a long time. Its definitely worth the money, and will be another product that has a place on my counter for life!

I am always in search for the perfect mascara, so anything new I'm willing to try out. I like to judge mascara personally based on applicator, enhancement of lashes, and wear and this mascara tested just okay on all levels. I have short lashes so applicator brushes to me should have good bristles that separate my lashes and both brushes do a great job doing it. As for the enhancement of my lashes the color is a dark black and it lengthens my lashes for miles - I tend to prefer the natural defining brush side as it takes little effort to get the results I want. As for wear I rarely get any smudging and it does not irritate my contacts.

I've used MAC mascara in the past, so when I purchased the Haute & Naughty Lash I thought it was a safe bet. It also received great reviews, so it seemed like a no-brainer. Unfortunately, the mascara is very goopy. I figured I could use the smaller wand for everyday use, but it's a little too minimal for what I'm use to. I like to have an everyday look that's between classy and dramatic -- a "I didn't try TOO hard, but I look good". Impossible with this mascara. On the flip side, if you want a "haute" look, it's a haute mess. Too much, too goopy, lashes stick together. I think this mascara would be a good use for those with short eyelashes, or fake ones. But for those with long, natural eyelashes: beware.
