Mac Duggal is always a great choice for special occasion wear. This dress could serve as a mother of the bride dress, and it’s more pink /peach color in person not like the picture which shows it is more white. It won’t contend with the bride if that is what you are worried about. But definitely check with the bride to be first if you intend to wear this to a wedding- be that as a guest or part of the wedding party (like mother of the bride or groom). And it is very very long. It has to be taken in unless you are 5’11. I would have taken it in and do a tea length but due to the price point I had a hard time justifying such a drastic alteration to the dress that already costs $900. (Because once it’s altered and you find it doesn’t look good- you can’t return it) It would have been nice if it was offered in tea length sizing or different lengths to make it suitable for less formal occasions. But c’est la vie. It’s still beautiful and form forgiving.

This dress fits true to size. It is a little more peachy-mauve in person. It is not too close to white, so you don’t have to worry about clashing with the bride. I will say that it arrived with a few loose strings and a random small strip of tulle hanging from a seam. Those were easy fixes, but for this price it should probably come without those flaws. Altogether, I cannot wait to wear this at my daughter’s wedding!
