Paying for Packaging
This is an incredibly cheap-looking and feeling bracelet. Clearly the price comes from the packaging - it was ridiculous! A box the size of a dictionary with a pillow, smaller box, bag, etc. My engagement ring had less elaborate packaging! I was looking to replace a gold-plated bracelet that been damaged. It had also been $70, so I assumed that was the standard price for a good quality bracelet. Wrong! This has a concave underside (thus very thin) and that too-bright color cheap “gold” has. And I really cannot overstate how unnecessary that packaging is. All straight to the garbage.
