Lucy Denim Midi Skirt

I purchased the Wash Lab Denim Lucy Midi Skirt in size 28. This was my first item from this brand, and I was impressed, though I decided to return it. The fabric is excellent—very stretchy, comfortable, and curve-hugging. The size 28 was one of the few denim skirts that fit my hips without a significant waist gap, and I’ve tried over 10 skirts from various brands. For reference, I’m 5’3” with a 29” waist and 42” hips, so finding form-fitting skirts that flatter without alteration is a challenge. I might have been able to size down to a 27 due to the stretch, but I think it would have hugged my hips in the wrong place. I rated it four stars and returned it because the color and wash weren’t quite right in person, and the length wasn’t as flattering as the other skirt I ended up choosing, which is longer and more fitted, which elongated my legs. Although this skirt didn’t work for me, I like the brand and will keep an eye out for other Wash Lab pieces.

I live in this skirt! Fabric is high quality. It’s so comfy and fits great. Hugs me and holds me in all the right places. Very slimming and booty looks good! Sits right below the belly button. The wash goes with everything. I tried about 10 different denim midi/maxi skirts and I like that this one didn’t have a slit that went so high that it shows everything when you sit down. I’m usually between a size 10/12 or 31/32 and the 31 fit well.

It is a cute skirt, I just didn’t pay attention to the midi part and didn’t want a skirt that long. Will return. But if you want a true midi jean skirt, this is it.

Tried the 27 and 28, but the fit was not quite right. The wash was light but pretty. Usually like WashLab, not this skirt

I love this skirt. The length, fit, and stretchiness are all perfect. I did buy it in my usual size 28, but then returned it and sized down to 27 as it was slightly large. The 27 is a perfect fit. Highly recommend this skirt if you’re looking for something like this.
