What it is: A gentle yet effective exfoliating mask with PHA Gluconolactone and BHA Salicylic Acid to refine, and generous measures of vitamins to replenish.
What it does: This face mask contains PHA and BHA—renowned for their gentle exfoliating properties—to remove dead skin cells, leaving skin with a more even texture and appearance. It's enriched with Vitamin B/Provitamin B5 to nourish and support.
How to use: Either morning or evening, apply a generous layer to freshly cleansed skin, avoiding the eye area. Leave on for up to fifteen minutes, then rinse off with warm water. Follow with your preferred Aesop toner and hydrator. Use twice weekly.

Noticeably Snoothing
I loved trying a couple of testers of the Aêsop - Lucent Facial Refiner as it gently exfoliates the skin. I really like the formula of this as it’s finely milled and loose enough to spread across the face. It’s relaxing to use and leaves your face hydrated after. This is to be used twice a week and after using this twice already my face is looking much more brighter and radiant. This is very pricy but it’s not an everyday cosmetic and the quality is definitely there. This was great to use and next on my list from Aêsop.

Didn't make a difference for me
I received a sample of this exfoliating mask in my recent SpaceNK order, and was excited to try it. I really loved the earthy scent, but beyond that I didn't feel like it did much for my skin, compared to the usual exfoliant that I use once per week (Erborian Skin Hero Peeling), which leaves my skin feeling smooth and refreshed. I wouldn't be buying the Aesop full size one, I will be sticking to my usual regimen.

Such a treat
I tried a free sample of the Aesop Lucent Facial Refiner, and it was lovely. The texture is really gentle but very effective. It left my skin feeling super smooth and refreshed without being harsh. I love that it feels more like a skincare treat than a scrub. It is expensive but I think would be worth it.

Sample not enough to tell if it works
True this as a sample…it is a lovely textured and scented product as you would expect from Aesop, but not very visible difference in terms of exfoliation or brightening from a single use, which I wouldn’t expect anyway. I probably wouldn’t purchase it myself based on that single use.

Lucent Facial Refiner
I received a sample of this mask with my last order from SPACENK. The mask is intended for peeling. I don't know if it has any positive effect with constant use. On the other hand, it is impossible to judge or draw conclusions from a sample. The texture is pleasant and easily absorbed. I did not notice a peeling effect from a single use.

LUCENT FACIAL REFINER
Tried this as a sample. Immediately has the luxurious feel and fragrance of an Aēsop product. While the texture was silky smooth, I found it more like a cleanser than an exfoliating mask. It was effective at removing make-up and cleansing the skin, so found it pleasant enough, but not tempted to purchase due to the price and lack of exfoliation.
