Lou Matelassé Leather Camera Bag

This bag is so versatile, especially in the color dark smog that I purchased it in. It’s almost like navy, black, and grey all mixed into one very neutral color. I feel I can wear this bag with a variety of outfits, from day to night and everything in between. I also love the adjustable strap. The first photo is of me with it on the longest setting and the second photo is with the middle hole (which is most comfortable for me). I am 5’4” and about 160lbs for reference. I was really waiting for this bag to come in stock in the black and gold hardware style. I decided I couldn’t wait and I already have the YSL LouLou bag in black. I’m so glad I went with dark smog, it really is an amazing color. Highly recommend getting before there is another price increase!!

I am a loyal Nordstrom shopper and rarely write reviews. I am so disappointed with this purchase that I felt the need to make buyers beware! The quality of this handbag makes me question if it is really leather. It arrived in a black dust cover without any of the typical credentials to assure authenticity. I have several designer handbags and have never had the piping or leather destruct in a matter of days. I made this purchase specifically for the NCAA tournament because it met the size requirements of the arena. I carried it twice and noticed that the piping and top leather was looking frayed. By the end of the second day, this (see photo) is what it looked liked. I feel like the quality control for luxury merchandise has slipped over the past few years and really hope that Nordstrom steps it up to the prior level.
