Longline Wool Blend Twill Coat

This jacket is so nice and looks so great. But the liner is awful and ruins the whole look. And yea, you get flashes of the liner when wearing it. The pockets are also faux pockets. A jacket without pockets is a big no-go for me. Love the look, so so classic! But a return because of the ugly liner and lack of pockets. *attaching pic of liner

I had my eye on the peacoat version of this wool and twill blend coat, but it sold out before I could get it. This was my back up, so I wasn’t sure how much I would actually like it. Overall, great coat. Love the texture. Love the look and length. But, man, the fit is off. I’m between a 6 and an 8 and went with the 6 because the smaller size is advised. It fits through the chest, waist, and hip perfectly. It does not fit as expected through the shoulders. I’m wide through the shoulders normally, but I think this is a brand issue because similar comments about the fit through the shoulders are made on the peacoat that I originally wanted. I couldn’t layer a sweater with this. I can’t order up even if an 8 was in stock because I’m afraid it would be too big at that point. I haven’t made a decision yet on whether I’ll keep it.

Regarding other's posts: there are 100% pockets (2) in this coat. They are sewn shut -- like many garments. They just need to be opened with a seam ripper. I do not find the liner is visible while wearing the coat. It's possible someone could catch a glimps, but it does not hang open and show the pattern. I find the fit nice, more traditional, not overly modern. It's a nice basic black pea coat.
