Trench Coat with Detachable Liner & Hood

Jacket is cute but the belt is too long. I ended up just tying it in a double knot in the back to keep it out of my way (and it was still too long). I bought this for vacationing in Edinburgh where misty or rainy days are common and expected. This jacket is definitely just "water-resistant" bordering on not being helpful in the rain at all. Fine for light rains but not for a long time. It's quite thick/bulky and takes up a lot of room if you're traveling with it. I'm fine with the purchase but the uses are more limited than I anticipated. I would have rather just got a true fall weather jacket made of a fabric I like better and then a separate rain jacket made of truly waterproof material rather than expecting this jacket to serve as both.

This coat is well made and figure flattering. The lining gave it some extra warmth when needed but I loved that it was removable for warmer days too. The hood is removable too and the jacket looks way better without it. I would have kept the jacket if I could. The issue was, I am a six foot woman and I looked ridiculous in this. You know how when a toddler plays dress up everything is comically too big and they look adorable? Well I was the exact opposite. The sleeves barely made it past my elbow. It was an awful look! If you're petite, this is the jacket for you. If you're of average height, this jacket might not fit you. If you're tall, trust me, it's probably not gonna work out.
