Fit & Flare Denim Trucker Jacket

I like the jacket. A little big but that's ok if I wear a sweater beneath it. My big problem is that after I washed and dried it (cold wash, low temp dryer per the instructions), it smelled. Sort of like mothballs. AI tells me that this is because some manufacturers use sulfur dye to make the indigo dye "stick". When I put it in the dryer (hanging in warm sun might also cause it to smell) the heat caused a chemical reaction releasing the smell. I followed all of the AI instructions - baking soda soak overnight, dawn dish soap wash and soak in the bathtub, vinegar soak then vinegar rinse in the washing machine. It is now drying using a fan as a wind tunnel to remove the remaining smell. Hopefully it will work.
