Liquid Gold^™ Vitamin C Exfoliating Treatment with 5% Glycolic Acid

I received a sample of this with my purchase which came as a pad soaked in the product. I found it a little tingly which continued for some while after. I felt the effect of this exfoliating my skin which did appear clearer and brighter afterwards, I can imagine that regular use would yield even better results. However, for me it was a bit on the strong side and felt as though longer term use may impact my skin barrier. I think it’s a great product but not suitable for me

I tried this as a sample which was x1 single use facial pad. There was ample product to use on my face, neck, and décolletage. I initially felt some minor tingling but this quickly subsided and my skin instantly felt tighter. I was tempted to moisturise afterwards but the instructions stated for an intensive treatment to not follow with a serum or moisturiser so I left as was. In the morning my pores were visibly tighter and my skin looked bright and hydrated...I was impressed after one usage and will be tempted to purchase this.

I received it as a sample and thought I try it even though it did not sound as a treatment I would normally use for my maturing skin. The sample was a cotton pad soaked in the treatment. It was quite generous to use on my face, neck, décolleté. As it was a pad, I could only use it once. This is a liquid which has a texture of a spirit and a smell of a spirit. Quite strong. The instructions said that I should not use a moisturizer with it if I wanted an intensive treatment. So I waited for 10 minutes. But after a while my skin looked sagged and dehydrated and obviously in need of support. So I did use my restoration oil afterwards. In the morning the skin was quite soft to touch. But it did not look any better. So it is quite harsh thing to use with no visible improvements to bring with it. I won’t recommend it.

I'm only reviewing a single use sample of this, so can't comment on longer-term effects. Worth noting that I already use a daily exfoliating cleanser in the mornings, which I skipped the morning that I used this. When I first applied Liquid Gold with the wipe, my skin tingled a bit. I noticed that there was a red flush on the inner sides of my nose. My skin felt a bit tight until I moisturised. In the morning, my skin was fine - it looked quite shiny and pores were tight - but felt a bit thirsty. I think the Liquid Gold pads were a bit too strong for me or I had used them too close to other exfoliating products. it's definitely effective but maybe more suited to oilier skin?
